WRITER OF THE MONTH
Task Force 23: Deep Space 5: Stuart & Fenrir: Jamie & Sentinel: Kreg
Deep Space 5: T'lul, played by Stuart, is our counselor. She is fascinated with how other species handle interpersonal relations and has made it her goal to study some of the crew—especially other Vulcans. She used the recent Marine Corps Ball as part of her research—much to the dismay of some of the attendees.
Fenrir: Jamie has been instrumental in several posts we got out in January. He has been fantastic in engaging with writing and setting up some great character driven posts.
Sentinel: Lt. Varkl Brukh (Kreg), he came in and just went to work in writing and bringing to life his character. The way he portrays a Tellarite is perfect and leaves the reader wanting to know more.
Area 51: SB109: Austin & Valiant: Amy and Kat
SB109: Austen
Reason: Austen's hard work this month has really resonated in a big way and his enthusiasm remains an inspiration to the rest of the sim.
Valiant: Split nomination for the Writers of Amy Gordon and Katya Davi. Both of these writers gave us an excellent action post while they investigated what happened to a mining crew on from Avan’s colony. The colonies first rescue team. And discovered an apparently unknown life form on the planet. Things heated up as they escaped and survived to rescue the lone survivor, only to discover that survivor was patient zero of a mutated biogenic weapon. Lots going on!!
PLAYER OF THE MONTH
Task Force 23: Calypso: Arie & Hecate: Voz
Calypso: Arie. As XO, I can always bounce ideas off Arie and get his feedback on missions and plot twists. But this month, I needed his input about a problematic player and how to deal with their passive-aggressive behavior. His suggestions and support were greatly appreciated.
Hecate: Voz – Commander Vin Salvatore – another huge contributor to our final joint post of the mission. Voz has a great habit of planting future plot hooks into his contributions which is massively appreciated.
Area 51: Astrea: Alex Blackstone & Jezra Siv & Ontario: Kat
Astrea: Alex Blackstone and Jezra Siv: This pair of medical officers have been plotting together and coming up with some great ideas to add depth and conflict to our current mission and I’ve enjoyed letting them run with it. Not only are we stirring up drama among the crew with Blackstone and the Captain making some questionable choices, but these two are also part of a group of a Tal Shiar Romulan sect that will be some reoccurring trouble for the ship. Anyone who wants was invited to create characters and they’ve been running a channel and managing the sub-plot and character development as it will tie into the main mission.
Ontario: Kat. Her two characters are going through an interesting character arc that involves pen pals, attraction, and self-doubt. Both have involved the counselor and other members of the crew to help them work through their feelings and fears.
